This year Webster Printing officially became Webster One Source.
This name change reflects a strategic decision to add our full-service printing capabilities while also focusing on becoming a comprehensive marketing services provider.
To begin implementing the plan, Webster has invested in the latest pre-press and press technology. In September, we were the first in New England to add a brand new 40" six color Komori KMS-AI with aqueous coating along the with software to help our core business of medium to long run, agency quality printing to be as cost effective as possible!
With our basics covered, Webster knew it needed to further develop its digital printing services by streamlining workflows and improve inventory management. Several years ago, we offered a comprehensive print management solution to our existing customers. The heart of the solution has been to create a web site for each customer that allows them to order and manage both static and personalized print online. Customers can simply order stock items through a shopping cart, but also highly customized or versioned print online. The site also allows customers to view real time print inventory numbers online at any time without needing to reach a customer service representative. In addition, low inventory flags automatically notify the customer that they have the opportunity to reprint as is or make changes to each particular item.
The ability to have accurate real-time information on existing inventory and streamlining our workflows,, has radically changed how we do business. Webster is able to move more jobs through the printing and fulfillment process in less time which ultimately savers our customers money.
Webster is looking forward to extending its online ordering system to accommodate more customers but is also content in providing high quality printing and mailing services as we have been doing for almost 55 years.
